WAX and HONEY
How I do it.
Use dedicated tools for this job, hard to clean.
After Removing Comb, I line a baking pan with foil.
I remove unused clean comb and put in separate pot.
I remove the cap, and place in another clean pot.
I de-capped both side of the comb.
Place in a warm spot, I use the green house.
I put the unused comb, and dirty comb into boiling water.
Comb with brood, larvae and pollen. I pour through a
screen and let the hot liquid cool, a wax plate forms on top.
I remelt the wax in double boiler, pour through a screen
into cups.
Cool water in the pan keeps the cups from melting.
I wrap the wax to keep it clean.
The cap that was cut free has a lot of honey on it. Melt in a
double boiler and pour into cups. The wax rises to the top.
The wax goes into the wax melt and the honey in the jar.
I collect the honey from the green house bowls and warm
and pour into jars.
